The SEI Association has supported for many years the newly arrived adolescents and their families to Pamplona at their time of migratory grief. They are assisted in language acquisition and homework assignments and at the same time healthy leisure activities are promoted to foster their inclusion in their new host city. At the end of 2019 they moved to Cipriano Olaso street, merely a few metres from the Sagrado Corazón School entrance. The educational centre was already providing training on migration and refuge to a group of 22 students in second-to-last year of High School seeking to have Pamplona city become not an unfriendly place for the newcomers, but the appropriate site to find meeting spaces and citizens that will make easier their inclusion. With that in mind, they got in contact with the aforementioned association and following talks with the educators in charge; they were allowed to attend the encounters the youngsters regularly had for leisure and sports activities. There were two weekly meetings: on Monday and Friday. The former one featured the participation of a small group at the Youth House where the educational guides of SEI and some student coming from Sagrado Corazon met to think and plan the activities for Friday. And, it was on Friday when a bigger group made up of young people from SEI and High School’s students developed the program as planned. Some of the activities undertaken are: basketball matches, musical exchanges, gynkanas and a variety of games to play. Being responsible for carrying out the activities and developing them has given us the opportunity to get to know one another, to break down stereotypes and encourage encounters between people of different backgrounds coming from too far away, but in the end, people like us.

De tú a tú: encuentros con el SEI
El SEI es una asociación que desde hace muchos años acompaña a los adolescentes recién llegados a Pamplona y a sus familias en su duelo migratorio. Para ello les ayuda en el aprendizaje del idioma, en sus tareas escolares y favorece actividades de ocio saludables que posibiliten su integración en su nueva ciudad.
A finales de 2019 trasladaron su sede a la calle Cipriano Olaso, apenas a unos metros de la puerta del colegio Sagrado Corazón. En este centro educativo ya había un grupo de 22 alumnos y alumnas de 1º de Bachillerato que estaban formándose sobre migraciones y refugio y querían contribuir a que su ciudad, Pamplona, no fuera un lugar hostil para los recién llegados, sino que pudieran encontrar espacios y personas con las que integrarse con la mayor facilidad posible. Por este motivo, entraron en contacto con dicha asociación y, tras conversar con las educadoras responsables, pudieron integrarse en las reuniones habituales de estos jóvenes relacionadas con el ocio y el deporte.
Semanalmente había dos encuentros: los lunes y los viernes. El primero de ellos era una reunión de un grupo más reducido: se juntaban en los locales de la Casa de la Juventud los premonitores del SEI junto con alguna alumna de Sagrado Corazón y pensaban y preparaban las actividades del viernes. Y eran los viernes cuando se ponía en marcha lo planificado previamente junto con un grupo más amplio de jóvenes del SEI y alumnado de Bachillerato del colegio. En estas actividades surgieron partidos de baloncesto, intercambios musicales, gynkanas y muchos juegos.
A través de la responsabilidad de la preparación de las actividades y del desarrollo de las mismas hemos tenido una gran oportunidad para conocernos mutuamente, romper estereotipos y favorecer el encuentro entre personas que, con orígenes muy lejanos, pero al final son personas como nosotros.

SEI elkartea duela urte askotatik Iruñera iritsi berri diren nerabeei eta haien familiei laguntzen die migrazio-doluan. Horretarako, hizkuntza ikasten eta eskolako lanetan laguntzen die, eta aisialdiko jarduera osasungarriak bultzatzen ditu, hiri berrian integratzeko.
2019ko amaieran, Cipriano Olaso kalera lekualdatu zuten egoitza, Jesusen Bihotza ikastetxeko atetik metro gutxira. Ikastetxe horretan bazegoen Batxilergoko 1. mailako 22 ikasleko talde bat, migrazioei eta babeslekuari buruz trebatzen ari zirenak, eta haien hiria, Iruñea, etorri berrientzako leku etsaia izan ez zedin lagundu nahi zuten, baizik eta haiekin ahalik eta errazen integratzeko espazioak eta pertsonak aurki zitzaten. Horregatik, elkarte horrekin harremanetan jarri ziren eta, hezitzaile arduradunekin hitz egin ondoren aisialdi eta kirolarekin lotura zeukaten gazte horien ohiko bileretan parte hartu ahal izan zuten.
Astero bi topaketa izaten ziren: astelehenetan eta ostiraletan. Lehenengoa talde txikiago baten bilera zen: gazteen Etxeko lokaletan SEIko aurremonitoreak eta Jesusen Bihotzako ikasleren bat elkartzen ziren eta ostiraleko jarduerak pentsatu eta prestatzen zituzten. Ostiraletan jartzen zen martxan aurretik planifikatutakoa, SEIko gazte talde zabalago batekin eta ikastetxeko Batxilergoko ikasleekin batera. Jarduera hauetan saskibaloi partidak, musika trukeak, gynkanak eta joko asko sortu ziren.
Jarduerak prestatzeko eta garatzeko erantzukizunaren bidez, elkar ezagutzeko aukera paregabea izan dugu estereotipoak hausteko eta jatorri urruneko baina azkenean gu bezalako pertsonak diren pertsonen arteko topaketa bultzatzeko.
